At 2am (today) rapper Juvenile was picked up and is being held on contempt of court for a missed court date on May 8th. However, the more important situation is the $150k in back child support stemming from 2012 of non-payments. Juvenile, a former member of legendary southern rap group The HoT bOyS that were once signed to the “Cash Money” imprint/label headed by Baby and Slim.
Juvenile is just one of the multiple rappers (lil Wayne, Turk, producer Mannie Fresh) that claims to be owed money from the label. “Baby” who is one of the founders of Cash Money along with brother Slim and have made millions and millions of dollars. At the same time there are accusations of the artist that once sat on that label weren’t getting paid. Lil Wayne is currently undergoing legal woes of his own.
Do you think that because Baby hasn’t paid Juvenile is the reason for this occurrence?
