According to Okayplayer and Good Morning America as of June 8th,2017 the Entertainment and Media office of the New York City’s Mayor, the Office of the Bronx Borough President and radio station Hot 97.
In attendance wil be DJ Kool Herc among others. The event will be held today ( June 8th, 2017) at 1520 Sedgwick avenue in the Bronx. Also taking place is thevrenaming of a street to “HIP HOP BLVD” and a community block party at the Cedar ave park.
Hip-Hop has definitley provided opportunity for all races to be comfortable in living , feeding families my it be by donation or lucrative job creation. We’ve also witnessed the down side to things and the way things could turn out in a not so positive manor but none the less. i think the most important part of the Hip-Hop day in it’s entirety is the fact that “WE” as a people helped propel and carve the future of fashion, the way we interact with people, brandishing new ideas. However the creativity and energy and passion that was put forth from nothing! To look at hip-hop now being WORLD WIDE influence musically is incredible. So, there is no reason (literally) that one CAN’T DO!
