WarnerMedia set to launch Streaming Service 2019

This just in! According to reports from Variety.com CEO of WarnerMedia John Stankey has just announced that they won’t be left out of the streaming race and have teamed up with Disney to launch a global direct to consumer streaming service come the 4th quarter of 2019. The new platform will be fronted by HBO and bundled with additional Warner Media brands.

The pricing now will not be determined at this point until the launch of the streaming service platform but it will be priced more than HBO (which he said is priced MORE than fairly thanks to the “emotional engagement” of Warner Media content like “Game of Thrones”). Stankey also says the content spend would be competitive to Netflix, that currently stands at $2.5 billion to $8billi. For more on this report go to. Variety.com
